Before and After School Program - Before School Care 2025-2026
We accept children from K - 6th grade (or ages 5 - 12). Games and activities will be provided with as much activity taking place outdoors as weather allows. This is a time for kids to socialize, play games, try new sports, and have fun. Kids will enjoy crafts, our Town's unique wooden playground, activities and more. Gear up for action in our 4-week Nerf Battle Zone program, designed for kids ages 8-12! Participants will dive into exciting weekly challenges, including capture the flag, team elimination, target practice, and more. Our structured sessions emphasize strategy, teamwork, and friendly competition, allowing kids to develop critical thinking and communication skills while staying active and having a blast. All Nerf equipment is provided, and safety is a top priority with goggles and structured play zones. Each week promises high-energy fun in a safe, supervised environment where everyone can let loose and join the action!You may bring your own Nerf Gun that is clearly labelled with your child's name. We will have a selection of equipment available for participants to use, including guns, bullets, and eye covers.

Adult Exercise Class - Beginner Friendly Exercise Class
Begin the New Year with our Adult Exercise Class led by Rec Assistant Kaylee Roggow!This 4-week program will focus on a combination of low impact and intermediate exercises that are customizable to individual fitness levels and goals and allows for participants to work at their own pace!We will provide guided exercises each week that will focus on cardio, balance, increasing range of motion, and building overall fitness level.All exercises are adaptable to the individual. This may include adding additional weight or equipment, including the use of a chair, etc.Hamlin Rec will provide all necessary equipment including weights, resistance bands, stepping blocks, mats, among other options. Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.A typical class format will start with a 10-15 minute warm up, followed by 30-40 minutes of guided exercise and ending with a 10-15 cool down.

Preschool Play Group - PM Preschool Playgroup
Children can interact and learn valuable social skills with others who are the same age while playing with a variety of toys and even a bounce house! We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Please be respectful of all of our toys and equipment and clean up whatever your child uses.This program does not occur on most holidays or during school breaks.

Children can interact and learn valuable social skills with others who are the same age while playing with a variety of toys and even a bounce house! We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Hamlin Youth Group - Clubhouse Fun Center Field Trip
Title: The youth group that will be directed by Hamlin Recreation will be called The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force.Mission Statement: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force is a youth group that seeks to understand, encourage, and empower young people grades 6th through 12th on their journey to become a healthy, caring, and responsible young adult.Our Goal: Our goal is to make Hamlin a healthier and safer community in which to live, enjoy, and develop in. The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force will help young people foster their personal and social development and assist in giving them the tools necessary to contribute to their community.Objectives:
To provide a range of opportunities which will enable young people to attain the 40 developmental assets and to cultivate understanding and skills, that will allow them to:
Socialize and have fun with others in a safe environment
Provide opportunities for young people to meet and learn from each other
Build their assets on the way towards broadening their horizons
Create a positive image of youth in our community.
To encourage community youth involvement and identity.
To recruit and establish new youth leaders to support the activities of the Youth Group.
Membership:The Hamlin Youth Group membership is open to all youth grades 6th through 12th. There is no cost for the youth members.Meetings: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force meets on a monthly basis with a meeting date and time that is flexible to suit participants.Events: Each month the youth will help plan an event that will promote socialization. An event can include, but is not limited to, trips, dances, and other activities.Community Service Projects: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force service projects will be undertaken on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. Fund Raising: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force members will work on raising money and materials for the Group and other in-need organizations.*Parents and guardians may be responsible for transportation to the Town Hall and other local places.Disciplinary Actions:When a serious matter of behavioral issues is raised by a staff member, it will be brought to the immediate attention of the parent or guardian and followed up in writing. The consequences of such issues will be made on a case to case basis.Consent:
a) To participate in The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force, a membership form must be completed and include parental consent (if under age 18). This form is to be filed with the Recreation Department.
b) In order to attend any Community Service Project or Social Event outside the premises of Town Hall and park, the participant will need to have parental consent on file with the Recreation Department, by the stated deadline.

Title: The youth group that will be directed by Hamlin Recreation will be called The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force.Mission Statement: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force is a youth group that seeks to understand, encourage, and empower young people grades 6th through 12th on their journey to become a healthy, caring, and responsible young adult.Our Goal: Our goal is to make Hamlin a healthier and safer community in which to live, enjoy, and develop in. The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force will help young people foster their personal and social development and assist in giving them the tools necessary to contribute to their community.Objectives:
To provide a range of opportunities which will enable young people to attain the 40 developmental assets and to cultivate understanding and skills, that will allow them to:
Socialize and have fun with others in a safe environment
Provide opportunities for young people to meet and learn from each other
Build their assets on the way towards broadening their horizons
Create a positive image of youth in our community.
To encourage community youth involvement and identity.
To recruit and establish new youth leaders to support the activities of the Youth Group.
Membership:The Hamlin Youth Group membership is open to all youth grades 6th through 12th. There is no cost for the youth members.Meetings: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force meets on a monthly basis with a meeting date and time that is flexible to suit participants.Events: Each month the youth will help plan an event that will promote socialization. An event can include, but is not limited to, trips, dances, and other activities.Community Service Projects: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force service projects will be undertaken on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. Fund Raising: The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force members will work on raising money and materials for the Group and other in-need organizations.*Parents and guardians may be responsible for transportation to the Town Hall and other local places.Disciplinary Actions:When a serious matter of behavioral issues is raised by a staff member, it will be brought to the immediate attention of the parent or guardian and followed up in writing. The consequences of such issues will be made on a case to case basis.Consent:
a) To participate in The Hamlin Youth Volunteer Force, a membership form must be completed and include parental consent (if under age 18). This form is to be filed with the Recreation Department.
b) In order to attend any Community Service Project or Social Event outside the premises of Town Hall and park, the participant will need to have parental consent on file with the Recreation Department, by the stated deadline.
c) For projects, events, or meetings within the Town Hall and park, registration is required by the stated deadline.

Archery - Archery Level 1
Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 4 week beginner archery program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.
We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. You are not permitted to bring your own bow to this program due to the introductory level of the course. We will be using Recurve Bows and target point arrows.

Soccer "Little Kickers" Program, Ages 4-6 - Little Kickers
This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment. Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. If your child is bathroom independent, without separation issues, feel free to drop them off.Pre-registration is required. Maximum number of participants is 10.
