We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Please be respectful of all of our toys and equipment and clean up whatever your child uses.This program does not occur on holidays or during school breaks.

Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 5 week beginner archery program. Archers will earn achievement awards after each session in the Level 1 class corresponding with the topic of the week.The Archery Camp is a hybrid version of our Level 1 and Level 2 Archery Programs. Join us for a fun introduction to target archery in this weeklong program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.This program is run by a USA Archery Certified Level 2 Instructor Keylee Gilfilian and Level 1 Instructor Joshua Girard. We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. You are not permitted to bring your own bow to this program due to the introductory level of the course. We will be using Recurve Bows and target point arrows.

Explore the world of air-dry clay in this creative 5-week class! Students will learn to craft unique projects using slab, pinch, and coil techniques, finishing their masterpieces with colorful paints.All Materials will be provided for students.This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of The Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts.

Little Learners: ColorsDive into a world of colors with your little one in this creative and interactive program designed for children ages 2-4! Each week, we’ll explore a different color theme through hands-on activities sensory play, storytime, and simple crafts. This program encourages color recognition, fine motor skills, and social interaction in a relaxed, playful setting. With plenty of opportunities to create, experiment, and make a colorful mess, it’s the perfect way for young learners to discover their artistic side alongside a parent or caregiver.

This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment.  Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. If your child is bathroom independent, without separation issues, feel free to drop them off.Pre-registration is required. Maximum number of participants is 10.

Players aim to dodge, strike, and eliminate their opponents by hitting them below the knees with a soft ball—all while staying active, building friendships, and improving coordination. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 5 week beginner archery program. Archers will earn achievement awards after each session in the Level 1 class corresponding with the topic of the week.The Archery Camp is a hybrid version of our Level 1 and Level 2 Archery Programs. Join us for a fun introduction to target archery in this weeklong program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.This program is run by a USA Archery Certified Level 2 Instructor Keylee Gilfilian and Level 1 Instructor Joshua Girard. We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment.  Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. If your child is bathroom independent, without separation issues, feel free to drop them off.Pre-registration is required. Maximum number of participants is 10.

Children can interact and learn valuable social skills with others who are the same age while playing with a variety of toys and even a bounce house! We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment.  Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. Mats will be laid out for focus on floor routines and to develop tumbling skills.While there is no specific uniform requirement, participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing, bring a pair of socks and a water bottle.To join the preschool program, your child must be at least 3 years old, able to follow directions and be comfortable without parents being in the same room.Intermediate gymnasts must be able to do cartwheels, backward rolls, and bridges on their own.This program typically fills quickly, early registration is advised to guarantee your child's spot. We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Please be respectful of all of our toys and equipment and clean up whatever your child uses.This program does not occur on holidays or during school breaks.

Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 5 week beginner archery program. Archers will earn achievement awards after each session in the Level 1 class corresponding with the topic of the week.The Archery Camp is a hybrid version of our Level 1 and Level 2 Archery Programs. Join us for a fun introduction to target archery in this weeklong program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.This program is run by a USA Archery Certified Level 2 Instructor Keylee Gilfilian and Level 1 Instructor Joshua Girard. We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. Explore the world of air-dry clay in this creative 5-week class! Introduce your little ones to the fun of basketball with our engaging and beginner-friendly program designed just for ages 4-6! This 4-week class focuses on the basics, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork, through exciting drills and mini-games. Our coaches use age-appropriate equipment and activities that encourage active play, build motor skills, and foster a love for the game. With an emphasis on fun and encouragement, each session is designed to help young players feel confident and enjoy every moment on the court!

Gear up for action in our 4-week Nerf Battle Zone program, designed for kids ages 8-12! Participants will dive into exciting weekly challenges, including capture the flag, team elimination, target practice, and more. Our structured sessions emphasize strategy, teamwork, and friendly competition, allowing kids to develop critical thinking and communication skills while staying active and having a blast. All Nerf equipment is provided, and safety is a top priority with goggles and structured play zones. Each week promises high-energy fun in a safe, supervised environment where everyone can let loose and join the action!You may bring your own Nerf Gun that is clearly labelled with your child's name. We will have a selection of equipment available for participants to use, including guns, bullets, and eye covers.

Hamlin Rec's popular gymnastics program will return this fall!Participants will learn to use various gymnastics equipment like the balance beam, parallel bars, uneven bars, and vault. Mats will be laid out for focus on floor routines and to develop tumbling skills.While there is no specific uniform requirement, participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing, bring a pair of socks and a water bottle.To join the preschool program, your child must be at least 3 years old, able to follow directions and be comfortable without parents being in the same room.Intermediate gymnasts must be able to do cartwheels, backward rolls, and bridges on their own.This program typically fills quickly, early registration is advised to guarantee your child's spot. If the program is full please sign up for the wait list as spots may open after the first class.
