Each month we welcome organizations and members of our community to give presentations on various topics.

These presentations are FREE and open to the public, however we ask that you please pre-register for each presentation you wish to attend. 

Monroe County Sheriff's Department - January 17, 2024

Join us for a presentation from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department. Deputy Jonathan Payne will discuss personal safety and situational awareness.

The Hamlin Fire Department will discuss the importance of fire safety, how to use a fire extinguisher, developing a household safety plan and more!

Pathways Forward Group will be hosting a seminar informing members of our community about their financial, legal, health and safety choices. It is their goal to also inform about the many alternatives as their needs change such as, help in their home, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing homes.

New York State Parks Hiker Safety - March 20, 2024

Join us in preparation for our NEW Hiking Group Program! Environmental Educator, Lara Hargrave from New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation will share best practices and safety tips for hiking in our area's parks and trails. Participants will be able to ask questions learn how enjoy and better understand nature and how to safely recreate in it.

Our first hike will be at Hamlin Beach on 4/6/24, you can register here!

Join Navy Vietnam Veteran Tom Hetherington as he presents his account of his tours on Aircraft Carrier USS Hornet and his involvement in the Apollo 11 and 12 recoveries.
