Hamlin Recreation |
Formed in 2016, The Friends of Hamlin Recreation, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the Hamlin Recreation Department. We volunteer our time, our ideas, and our skills to raise funds, acquire grants, and in general, try to increase the department's scope, resources, and volunteer base.
What We Do:
- Summer Camp, Sports, Program Scholarships
- Support Youth Sports Teams
- Sponsor improvements to the Town Park, in 2022 we helped implement a new Walking Trail
- Acquired a grant for the Owl Mural on the Morton Building
- Acquired grants for art throughout the park on our storage containers
- Acquired a grant for Athletic Wheelchairs
- Sponsor of the Town of Hamlin's Annual Easter Egg Hunt
- Sponsor the Annual Junk Jamboree
- Assist at Volunteer Appreciation Night
- Help run, plan, and fund events during Hamlin's Halloweenathon

How You Can Help:
Join our group! Come Share your ideas. Help plan events for our community, particiapte in fundraisers, write grants for amazing things for our parks and recreation activities, award scholarships for Summer Camp for children in need.
Attend our events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Junk Jamboree, our month-long Halloweenathon where there are family friendly events all throughout October.
Bring your bottles and cans to Hamlin Bottle Return (in the Tops Plaza) and ask for them to be donated to The Friends of Hamlin Recreation.
Bring your plastic to the Hamlin Town Hall. Every time we collect 500 pounds of plastic and keep it out of the landfill we receive a bench recycled from this plastic for our parks.
