The Town of Hamlin is getting ready for the month of October in a big way. Halloweenathon, a month-long series of Halloween themed events sponsored by Hilton East/Angels in the Home, will offer various activities for different audiences, every weekend of the month. Please also refer to our Facebook page for regular updates on all events: https://www.facebook.com/HamlinScreamFest

On Saturday 10/9, the Remax Titanium Cider Cup Soccer Tournament and the Candy Bowl Football will take place in Hamlin Town Park.  All players are asked to put their Zombie make-up skills to the test and come out to play soccer and football. Registration has closed for this event, but it promises a great day of Halloween themed live fall sports in Hamlin Town Park.
Start times: Candy Bowl 9:00 AM; Cider Cup 10:00 AM.

There is also a BLOOD DRIVE scheduled scheduled on the same day at the Charlie Maier Lodge, located at 2806 Roosevelt Hwy. You can schedule an appointment at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/find-drive

Saturday, 10/16 at 7:30 PM features Fright Night, a free and creepy drive-in movie experience with an interactive cast to shake things up! This event will take place at dusk at 2806 Roosevelt Hwy in Hamlin in the parking lot of the Charlie Maier Lodge.

On Saturday 10/23 at 5:00 PM, the Run for Your Life 5K run will have runners following a track through Hamlin Town Park, but what makes this 5K a little different and spooky is that there will also be hungry zombies along the way. Registration for this event can be found at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Hamlin/Zombie5KRunforyourlife. Register asap to get the best price!

On Saturday 10/30 from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Hamlin Town Park will once again host the very successful Haunted Highway, a drive-through Halloween event featuring displays and surprises. The entrance for this event will be at 1052 Hamlin Center Rd, from the westbound lane only. Cost is $10 per car. Participants will vote on their favorite display and the winner will receive $100 and the Remax Golden Pumpkin Award.

Applications for would-be display builders will be accepted until 10/22! Get your application here: https://hamlinny.myrec.com/info/activities/program_details.aspx?ProgramID=29938
