Let your little one run, play, and explore sports in a fun and welcoming environment! Toddlers' Open Gym is designed for preschoolers (ages 3-4) to develop basic motor skills, coordination, and confidence through active play. Parents are encouraged to join in the fun as children learn through guided activities with our experienced instructors. No matter the activity, kids will enjoy an engaging and playful introduction to sports.
 
5:30 PM - 6:15 PM    Soccer "Little Kickers" Program, Ages 4-6 - Little Kickers
This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment.  Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. If your child is bathroom independent, without separation issues, feel free to drop them off.Pre-registration is required. Maximum number of participants is 10.

We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Please be respectful of all of our toys and equipment and clean up whatever your child uses.This program does not occur on most holidays or during school breaks.

Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 4 week beginner archery program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience. We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. You are not permitted to bring your own bow to this program due to the introductory level of the course. We will be using Recurve Bows and target point arrows.

Often called a gentler version of dodgeball, this game emphasizes agility, strategy, and quick reflexes. Players aim to dodge, strike, and eliminate their opponents by hitting them below the knees with a soft ball—all while staying active, building friendships, and improving coordination. Each week will include skill-building, friendly competitions, and plenty of game time to ensure everyone gets a chance to play and grow.Please pack a water bottle and have your child wear sneakers.

Participants will dive into exciting weekly challenges, including capture the flag, team elimination, target practice, and more. Our structured sessions emphasize strategy, teamwork, and friendly competition, allowing kids to develop critical thinking and communication skills while staying active and having a blast. All Nerf equipment is provided, and safety is a top priority with goggles and structured play zones. Each week promises high-energy fun in a safe, supervised environment where everyone can let loose and join the action!You may bring your own Nerf Gun that is clearly labelled with your child's name. We will have a selection of equipment available for participants to use, including guns, bullets, and eye covers.
