Preschool Play Group - AM Preschool Playgroup Children can interact and learn valuable social skills with others who are the same age while playing with a variety of toys and even a bounce house! We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Please be respectful of all of our toys and equipment and clean up whatever your child uses.This program does not occur on most holidays or during school breaks.

Players aim to dodge, strike, and eliminate their opponents by hitting them below the knees with a soft ball—all while staying active, building friendships, and improving coordination. Each week will include skill-building, friendly competitions, and plenty of game time to ensure everyone gets a chance to play and grow.Please pack a water bottle and have your child wear sneakers.

Adult Exercise Class - Beginner Friendly Exercise Class Begin the New Year with our Adult Exercise Class led by Rec Assistant Kaylee Pilon!This 5-week program will focus on a combination of low impact and intermediate exercises that are customizable to individual fitness levels and goals and allows for participants to work at their own pace!We will provide guided exercises each week that will focus on cardio, balance, increasing range of motion, and building overall fitness level.All exercises are adaptable to the individual. This may include adding additional weight or equipment, including the use of a chair, etc.Hamlin Rec will provide all necessary equipment including weights, resistance bands, stepping blocks, mats, among other options. Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.A typical class format will start with a 10-15 minute warm up, followed by 30-40 minutes of guided exercise and ending with a 10-15 cool down.

Our structured sessions emphasize strategy, teamwork, and friendly competition, allowing kids to develop critical thinking and communication skills while staying active and having a blast. All Nerf equipment is provided, and safety is a top priority with goggles and structured play zones. Each week promises high-energy fun in a safe, supervised environment where everyone can let loose and join the action!You may bring your own Nerf Gun that is clearly labelled with your child's name. We will have a selection of equipment available for participants to use, including guns, bullets, and eye covers.
