Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 4 week beginner archery program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience. We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. You are not permitted to bring your own bow to this program due to the introductory level of the course. We will be using Recurve Bows and target point arrows.

Introduce your little ones to the fun of basketball with our engaging and beginner-friendly program designed just for ages 4-6! This 4-week class focuses on the basics, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork, through exciting drills and mini-games. Our coaches use age-appropriate equipment and activities that encourage active play, build motor skills, and foster a love for the game. With an emphasis on fun and encouragement, each session is designed to help young players feel confident and enjoy every moment on the court!
 
6:30 PM - 7:30 PM    Gaga Ball - Indoor Gaga Ball
Join us for an exciting 4-week Gaga Ball program tailored just for ages 8-12! Gaga Ball is a fast-paced, high-energy game played in an octagonal pit. Often called a gentler version of dodgeball, this game emphasizes agility, strategy, and quick reflexes. Players aim to dodge, strike, and eliminate their opponents by hitting them below the knees with a soft ball—all while staying active, building friendships, and improving coordination. Each week will include skill-building, friendly competitions, and plenty of game time to ensure everyone gets a chance to play and grow.Please pack a water bottle and have your child wear sneakers.

Join us in celebrating one of The Town of Hamlin's favorite traditions with an evening of holiday cheer! Santa's elves will be there to read a story to the children while they snack on cookies, milk, and other treats.   Additional entertainment will be announced later so please check back for updates!Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive and hand out gifts to the children and photo opportunities will be available.Pre-Registration is required for this event. Registrations will not be allowed at the door due to limited seating. Everyone attending must register.Parents are strongly encouraged to drop off a small gift for their child to the Recreation Office prior to the event. Please ensure that it is wrapped and clearly labeled with your child's name to avoid confusion during the event.

We are accepting vendor applications for our Christmas Market Event!We are looking for craft, retail, food, and other seasonal vendors.There will be spaces available both indoors and outdoors. Indoor spaces will be located in either the Town Hall Gym or the Charlie Maier Lodge. Outdoor spaces will be located along the Holiday Light Trail between the Town Hall and the Lodge Building.There are limited spaces available indoors, register early to guarantee your spot!Indoor spaces are limited to a 6ft table. You are not permitted to bring additional tables The new event will feature a vendors, food, carriage rides, a Holiday Light Trail, a Tree lighting and more! Vendors must complete set up no later than 2:30 pm and can not begin to clean up until after 6:00 pm. Also, we will permit no more than 1 representative per consulting company so first come, first served! All vendors will be subject to review so as not to enable too many types of the same product. If you represent a popular product, please call us first to make sure that no other representatives of the same company have already registered to be there.If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact Hamlin Recreation at (585) 964-7222 or email recreation@hamlinny.org.Vendor Information and Regulations -All events will be held rain or shine or snow.-Vendors supply their own tables, chair(s), and canopy/tent for outdoor spaces.-6ft Tables will be supplied for indoor spaces only (Gym, Board Room)-10x10 Tent will be supplied for Morton Building Barn (Owl Mural Building) only  -Electricity will not be provided, and only contained and muffled generators are permitted. -The Hamlin Recreation Department reserves the right to reject any prospective vendor application for any reason. -If applicable, participants are responsible for collecting and reporting their own sales tax. -Participants are responsible for removing all unsold items and debris from their area. -Booth rental spaces will be assigned as applications are received and finalized during the last week prior to the event. Requests for specific locations will be considered but not guaranteed. -Booth fee must be submitted with application. -The Hamlin Recreation Department and The Town of Hamlin will not be responsible for damage, loss of personal property, personal injury, or accidents involving participants. -For Products such as jewelry, painting, photography, or any items that enable multiple duplications, please submit images or website addresses for the review process.
