Before and After School Program - Before School Care 2025-2026 We accept children from K - 6th grade (or ages 5 - 12). Games and activities will be provided with as much activity taking place outdoors as weather allows. This is a time for kids to socialize, play games, try new sports, and have fun. Nerf League - Nerf League Gear up for action in our 4-week Nerf Battle Zone program, designed for kids ages 8-12! Participants will dive into exciting weekly challenges, including capture the flag, team elimination, target practice, and more. Our structured sessions emphasize strategy, teamwork, and friendly competition, allowing kids to develop critical thinking and communication skills while staying active and having a blast. All Nerf equipment is provided, and safety is a top priority with goggles and structured play zones. Each week promises high-energy fun in a safe, supervised environment where everyone can let loose and join the action!You may bring your own Nerf Gun that is clearly labelled with your child's name. We will have a selection of equipment available for participants to use, including guns, bullets, and eye covers.

Adult Exercise Class - Beginner Friendly Exercise Class Begin the New Year with our Adult Exercise Class led by Rec Assistant Kaylee Roggow!This 4-week program will focus on a combination of low impact and intermediate exercises that are customizable to individual fitness levels and goals and allows for participants to work at their own pace!We will provide guided exercises each week that will focus on cardio, balance, increasing range of motion, and building overall fitness level.All exercises are adaptable to the individual. This may include adding additional weight or equipment, including the use of a chair, etc.Hamlin Rec will provide all necessary equipment including weights, resistance bands, stepping blocks, mats, among other options. Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.A typical class format will start with a 10-15 minute warm up, followed by 30-40 minutes of guided exercise and ending with a 10-15 cool down.

Archery - Archery Level 1 Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 4 week beginner archery program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.
We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. Soccer "Little Kickers" Program, Ages 4-6 - Little Kickers This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment. Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. Adult Exercise Class - Beginner Friendly Exercise Class Begin the New Year with our Adult Exercise Class led by Rec Assistant Kaylee Roggow!This 4-week program will focus on a combination of low impact and intermediate exercises that are customizable to individual fitness levels and goals and allows for participants to work at their own pace!We will provide guided exercises each week that will focus on cardio, balance, increasing range of motion, and building overall fitness level.All exercises are adaptable to the individual. This may include adding additional weight or equipment, including the use of a chair, etc.Hamlin Rec will provide all necessary equipment including weights, resistance bands, stepping blocks, mats, among other options. Please come dressed in comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle.A typical class format will start with a 10-15 minute warm up, followed by 30-40 minutes of guided exercise and ending with a 10-15 cool down.

Each class we will pair a craft with a mini art lesson on a specific art technique that will be flexible and fun for all ages to participate in. Preschool Play Group - AM Preschool Playgroup Children can interact and learn valuable social skills with others who are the same age while playing with a variety of toys and even a bounce house! We meet weekly in the Town Hall Gym.While this is a free program, we ask that you complete the one time registration online and check in at the Recreation Office each week.Children must remove shoes upon entering the gym play area. Please ensure they have socks, preferably ones with grips on the bottom to avoid slipping.Please note that this is not a drop off program and parent supervision is required at all times. Please be respectful of all of our toys and equipment and clean up whatever your child uses.This program does not occur on most holidays or during school breaks.

Archery - Archery Level 1 Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 4 week beginner archery program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.
We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. You are not permitted to bring your own bow to this program due to the introductory level of the course. We will be using Recurve Bows and target point arrows.

Soccer "Little Kickers" Program, Ages 4-6 - Little Kickers This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment. Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. If your child is bathroom independent, without separation issues, feel free to drop them off.Pre-registration is required. Maximum number of participants is 10.

Adult Exercise Class - Beginner Friendly Exercise Class Begin the New Year with our Adult Exercise Class led by Rec Assistant Kaylee Roggow!This 4-week program will focus on a combination of low impact and intermediate exercises that are customizable to individual fitness levels and goals and allows for participants to work at their own pace!We will provide guided exercises each week that will focus on cardio, balance, increasing range of motion, and building overall fitness level.All exercises are adaptable to the individual. This may include adding additional weight or equipment, including the use of a chair, etc.Hamlin Rec will provide all necessary equipment including weights, resistance bands, stepping blocks, mats, among other options. Archery - Archery Level 1 Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 4 week beginner archery program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.
We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. You are not permitted to bring your own bow to this program due to the introductory level of the course. We will be using Recurve Bows and target point arrows.

No matter the activity, kids will enjoy an engaging and playful introduction to sports.

Soccer "Little Kickers" Program, Ages 4-6 - Little Kickers This 4 week program will introduce preschool age participants the basics of soccer while incorporating social skills, peer interaction, listening to adults, following simple direction in a playful environment. Your toddler will build decision making skills and coping strategies with confidence while learning the basics of soccer. Children are required to have water bottles and Non-slip sneakers. Shin pads and long socks are encouraged but not required. Children who are NOT potty trained are required to have one parent present at all times. If your child is bathroom independent, without separation issues, feel free to drop them off.Pre-registration is required. Maximum number of participants is 10.

Archery - Archery Level 1 Each week learn archery basics such as range & bow safety, equipment, form, shot execution, and scoring in this 4 week beginner archery program. This is an introductory archery course and requires no prior archery experience.
We will be using an indoor range with limited space so please register soon to guarantee your child's space. There are only 6 spots for participants per session. If the program is full please sign up for the waiting list as we may open additional sessions of the program.Please bring a water bottle.In order to register for the Archery League or Level 2 Program, your child must have completed or currently be enrolled in the Explore Archery Level 1 Program or Archery Camp through Hamlin Recreation prior to the first day of the League. We will continue to offer the Beginner Program throughout the year.All necessary equipment will be provided. You are not permitted to bring your own bow to this program due to the introductory level of the course. We will be using Recurve Bows and target point arrows.
