NYS Safe Boating Course

A safe day on the water is a fun day on the water! To help ensure our waterways remain safe and enjoyable, New York State will require all motorized boaters to take a safe boating course and earn their safe boating certificate by 2025.

The New York State Safe Boating Course teaches basic boating skills and encourages common sense and courtesy to all who share the water.

As of this year, anyone born on or after January 1, 1978 must have a boating safety certificate when operating a motorized vessel on the water.

Please register for this program directly on New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historical Preservation.

Lunch will be ordered from Hamlin Pizza Shack. Please bring money for lunch or plan on bringing your own bagged lunch on the day of the class.

Where: Hamlin Town Hall Gym
Cost: Free but you must register at the link above
Ages: 10+
